Kevin Henson (Investigator, Cyber Defense labs)
EDUCATION: B.S., Physics, University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), PhD Candidate, UTD Department of Physics and Spaces sciences expected graduation 2015
Chief Scientist, Cyber Defense Labs / UTD Space Sciences Research group Autonomous air vehicle project
His security expertise stretches over 15 years and many government and private research projects(served Chief Scientist of Accretive Solutions and Asier Technology Corp). He developed cutting edge encryption, message authentication, communications and information (numerous patents). Mr. Henson’s work spands numerous government agencies. On the University side he is working with the autonomous UAV team to improve detection performance and data transmission for the onboard multi-spectral and hyper spectral sensors. Kevin is also working with NoMagic on several efforts involving autonomous evaluation of intelligence and simulation data.
His experience in advanced development has kept him at the cutting edge of security and automated information warfare technologies. Mr. Henson’s work includes integrating a suite of technologies for secure data transmission across multiple security domains for the AFRL Collaboration Gateway project. He developed advance data correlation strategies for intelligent management of unattended sensor networks, and fuzzy logic enhanced detection systems. While working on a contract for the Missile Defense Agency he designed new security strategies for autonomous mobile agents used for network defense. He has experience multi-spectral imaging and advanced optical sensors stretches back into the late 90s.
